Flares sighted.

A member of the public  reported  to MRCC Valentia that they had sighted what the believed to be two distress flares in the sky north of Spanish Point at approximately 12.30 am .The Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked to investigate. Two teams were deployed and carried out an extensive shoreline search and spoke with people who had made the report. The teams returned to base with nothing to report  and where stood down at 03.00.
