People Stranded on the Rine

by Caitriona in  Callouts

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked late yesterday evening , by MRSC , Valentia , to the Rine , Ballyvaughan. A report had come in that three people were stranded on the Rine, a piece of shore that  gets cut off from land at high water . The team assembled and took the D-Class boat to Ballyvaughan . The D-Class was launched in Ballyvaughan while a Coast Guard shore team walked down to the point. Team members met with them, they had been fishing and all were OK. In the meantime a call had come to Valentia from the original caller to say that the three people were safe.

Incident 41/13
