Heli Training

Some of the newer members  went on a training flight with the Shannon Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter today. The helicopter crew  briefed  the members on helicopter operations and capabilities.

Stretcher carry South of Visitor Centre

Doolin Coast Guard Team was tasked to an incident south of the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre. A walker had slipped and broken her leg . The team assembled and proceeded to the location with the stretcher and first aid equipment . The casualty attended to and was stretchered back to the visitor centre where a HSE Ambulance from Nenagh was waiting .

ATV Trials

Team members trialled two ATV’s as a safer  alternative  to the current quad bikes. Trials have been taking place around the country with teams who have quad bikes and and ATV Training.
