Surfer in difficulty

MRSC, Valentia, tasked Doolin Coast Guard to go to the assistance of a surfer in difficulty off Lahinch . Team members proceeded to Lahinch while others took the D-Class boat to Liscannor and prepared for launch. Team members in Lahinch located the surfer and guided him to shore . The surfer was assessed to see that he was alright and team stood down.

Assisted with curragh off Inis Oírr

Doolin and Inis Oírr Coast Guard teams, the RNLI Lifeboat from Inis Mór and the Shannon Coast Guard Rescue helicopter , Rescue 115 were all tasked to assist with an incident off Inis Oírr.Concern was raised for the safety of three people who had left the island on a curragh in poor conditions, and were heading towards the Foul Sound. The Doolin Delta launched, proceeded to the area and commenced searches. The RNLI lifeboat located the curragh in the Foul Sound, and took three people on board. One member of Doolin Coast Guard and one member of the RNLI took the curragh back to Kilronan Pier , Inis Mór, escorted by the Delta boat. The three people were taken to Rossaveel by the RNLI.
While this incident was in progress , other Doolin Coast Guard members assisted with a despondant person .

Assisted casualty with leg wound

Doolin Coast Guard members assisted a casualty with a serious leg bleed until the HSE Ambulance Service arrived and took the casualty to hospital .

Body Recovered from base of cliff

Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked by MRSC, Valentia, to assist with the recovery of a body from the base of Aill na Searrach, North of the Cliffs of Moher.The team assembled and set up the climbing system . Climbers were lowered down to the base of the cliff , crossed the shore and stretchered the body back to the base of the cliff from where they were hauled back to the top. Kilkee Coast Guard Unit assisted.

Injured walker assisted

Doolin Coast Guard responded to a request from MRSC, Valentia , to assist an injured walker 1km south of the viewing platform at the Cliffs of Moher.
