Small Dinghy

Doolin Coast Guard unit was tasked by MRSC Valentia to investigate a report from a concerned person. Three men had boarded a small dinghy with no lifejackets on at Gleninagh pier, south Galway bay area. A team was dispatched by road to the area, they sighted the dinghy one km. off shore and attempted to make contact with the persons on board. No contact was made, after observing the dinghy and crew, who were fishing, a report was passed to MRSC Valentia.  A decision was made not to intervene. Team returned to base and stood down.
