At 14.45 , Doolin Coast Guard were tasked by MRSC Valentia, to arrange an ambulance and to assist with a casualty being transferred from a boat at Doolin Pier to the ambulance. The casualty had sustained a broken leg while on Inis Óirr. A doctor attended to her on the Island and she was then put  on board the Jack B and taken to Doolin. Coast Guard members assisted the ambulance crew at the pier and the casualty was then taken to hospital.

At approximately 13:40 hrs on Sunday 14 September, members of the Doolin Unit of the Irish Coast Guard were called to Doolin pier to assist in the rescue of a man on board a RIB who had suffered a broken leg. It is understood his leg became trapped in the anchor chain whilst the boat was underway. The man was brought ashore and taken to hospital by ambulance.
