Details
  1. If you are successful in your application you will be a probationary member for at least one year and will have to meet the prescribed training criteria before you become a full member. You will be expected to attend training every Tuesday evening at 19.00. You will be on call 24/7/365. On average volunteers in the unit contribute approximately 500 hrs per year. The Coast Guard is a uniformed organisation, you will have to wear, personal protective equipment, work fatigues or dress uniform when on duty. You will have to supply at your own expense a medical certificate if you are taken on as a probationary volunteer.
