Aran to Doolin Swim
The Aran to Doolin Swim took place today with all 13 swimmers completing the 10 k swim from Inis Óirr to Doolin Pier. The event was organised in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital , funds raised will go towards providing a new National Neuro – Surgery Unit for the Hospital.
All swimmers were partnered with a safety kayaker .Doolin Coast Guard boats were present along with Ennis Civil Defence, Burren Divers , Ennis Sub Aqua Club and some other boat owners.
Well Done to all 13 swimmers.

IRCG do not provide safety cover for any event. event organisers must do that. we normally don’t have a problem with being on the water during an event but we musn’t be used to lessen in any way the event organisers responsibility to provide a safety plan and appropriate safety cover. If a difficulty arises it is their responsibility and we will step in in the event of that needing support.
