Boat washed ashore

At 9.26 a.m. a member of the public alerted Doolin Coast Guard to a small rib washed ashore off Kilmacreehy near Liscannor. Members of the Coast Guard went immediatley to the scene and MRCC set off the Doolin Unit pagers. The D-Class boat was launched from Liscannor pier. Coast Guard members lifted the boat off the rocks and it was then towed by the D-class back to Liscannor Pier. The boat is believed to have broken from it’s moorings at Liscannor Pier during the previous nights bad weather.
