Injured walker

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , to assist the HSE Ambulance service with an injured walker on the Cliffs of Moher path. The walker who had sustained a leg injury South of the Cliffs of Moher viewing platform was attended to by Paramedics and stretchered to the ambulance with the assistance of the Cliffs of Moher Rangers and Coast Guard members.

Coast Guard had been tasked to transport family of a casualty who had airlifted from Inis Mór back to Doolin yesterday.

Traffic accident near Doolin and stretcher from Plassey

Doolin Coast Guard was tasked to assist with a traffic accident near Doolin this morning.

Person in the Water, Clare Abbey

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , to assist with a person in the water at Clare Abbey near Ennis. Some members proceeded to the scene while others took the D-Class boat and equipment. The Ennis Fire and Rescue Service had been tasked , as well as the HSE Ambulance Service.The casualty was taken from the water by the Fire and Rescue Service and then into the care of the Ambulance crew on scene.

Person in the water , Ballyreen

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , this morning, to a person in the water at Ballyreen. A group had been fishing in the area when one person was swept into the sea by a wave. The team assembled and launched the Delta while other members went to the location. The Shannon based Coast Guard helicopter ,R115, was also tasked and searched the area with the Delta . The HSE Ambulance service and Gardaí were also at the scene. The casualty was located and taken from the water onto the Delta and then transferred to the helicopter.

Medivacs , Inis Oírr

The Inis Oírr members of Doolin Coast Guard were tasked by MRSC, Valentia, to assist the Shannon Coast Guard helicopter , Rescue 115, with a medivac of a casualty with a head injury from the Island. The team had also assisted with another medevac the  previous day. Two days later , the team again assisted R115 with a medevac of a stroke casualty.
