School Visit

Team members visited The Holy Family Junior School in Ennis and spoke to the children about water safety and the Irish Coast Guard .

    Thank you so much for your visit. The children really enjoyed it. It heightened their awareness of Water Safety. All of Room 1 loved trying on the helmets and safety glasses!

Recruiting a new member

TrainingDoolin Coast Guard have an open position for a volunteer based in the Doolin area. Think you have what it takes ? Why not drop us an email or fill out our application form within the next three weeks. The position is open to men and women. No particular training is required as training will be provided but comittment is necessary. The team are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days per year plus there’s plenty of training !

New Building announced

The Doolin unit of The Irish Coast Guard are delighted to hear that the go ahead for their long awaited new building has been announced.

The new building will be situated close to the existing Rocket House.

Suspicious item removed from beach

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked today by MRSC, Valentia, to investigate a suspicious item found washed ashore at Lahinch Beach. Some team members  attended and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit inspected and removed the item from the beach having determined it to be an old CO2 bottle .
