Car in water at Quilty Pier

Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , this evening to an incident at Quilty Pier. A car had been seen in the water .The Gardaí, the Ennistymon Fire and Rescue Service, the HSE Ambulance service and the Shannon Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115 were also tasked. It was not known initially if anyone had been in the car. Divers searched the car and the surrounding area . The Doolin Coast Guard and Kilkee Coast Guard D-Class boats were on the water assisting. Nothing was found in or around the car.A crane was tasked to recover the car from the water.

Fall from cliff ,Lahinch

Doolin Coast Guard was tasked this evening by MRSC, Valentia ,  to assist a casualty in Lahinch who had fallen from a cliff edge to the shore. Team members assisted HSE Ambulance service paramedics and the Ennistymon Fire and Rescue Service who were at the scene treating the casualty. The Shannon based Coast Guard helicopter, R115 was tasked to transfer the casualty to hospital.The winch man was lowered to the shore and winched back to the helicopter with the casualty. Doolin Coast Guard members assisted with the hi line.

Cliff jumping

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked this evening by MRSC, Valentia , to Lahinch . A concerned member of the public had reported youths jumping from a cliff in the area. Team members assembled and searched along the cliff from the location to Cregg Beach and also other areas . Nothing was found and team stood down.

People in the water , Inis Oírr

Doolin Coast Guard was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , to a report of two people in the water at Inis Oírr. Team members assembled and prepared the Delta for launch. As the boat was being launched the Doolin team was stood down. The Inis Oírr members of Doolin Coast Guard assisted with the incident on the Island and the people were attended to by the doctor . The Shannon based Coast Guard helicopter , Rescue 115 , was also tasked to the incident

Injured cyclist airlifted to hospital

The Inis Oírr team of Doolin Coast Guard was tasked by MRSC, Valentia to assist with the medevac of an injured cyclist to Galway University Hospital by the Shannon based helicopter, Rescue 115

Fall from cliff at Lahinch

Doolin Coast Guard was tasked by MRSC, Valentia , shortly after 05.00 this morning, to assist a casualty in Lahinch who had fallen 20 m from a cliff edge to the shore. Team members assisted HSE Ambulance service paramedics who were at the scene treating the casualty. The Shannon based Coast Guard helicopter, R115 was tasked to transfer the casualty to hospital.The casualty was placed in a stretcher and winched to the helicopter.
