Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked by MRSC, Valentia to a report of a faller at the Cliffs of Moher. The team assembled and launched the Delta and the D-Class boats while other members directed the boats to the casualty location from the top of the cliffs. The Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115 was also tasked . It was not possible to attempt a recovery due to sea conditions .The boats launched again in the evening along with Garda Divers. Rescue 115 was also on scene and illuminated the area for the boats crews and divers. Again, a recovery was not possible at that time due to difficult sea conditions close to shore.
The situation will be assessed in the morning .
