Hi,

I’m the injured climber. I really appreciated the professional care and attention which you gave me on Saturday afternoon when I was hit by the falling rock. The slab of falling rock shattered when it hit a boulder on the ground and had the chunk of rock which hit me bounced any higher off the boulder it could have been fatal. Grateful to be alive! Thankfully & and miraculously the rock didn’t break my right femur which took the full impact and I wasn’t hit by the sharp edges of the rock. Many thanks from myself and all climbers who have benefited from the great service you provide. Thanks also to Tom (climber) who gave me first aid immediately after the accident. Paul

Hi,

just wanted to say a massive thanks for all of the Coast Guard people that came down and helped out on the day – I was one of the climbers floating around. As ever, you always do a great job (I see you down there about once every three/four years….) – keep it up.

We would just like to thank all the members of the Doolin and KIlkee coastguard units for all their hard work in rescuing our dog Rosie yesterday from the cliff ledge. She is a bit shocked today and doesnt want to go out at all not sure if there is a break or not in her leg but she has been seen by the vet and he will review her again on Monday.We are so glad to have her back and are still hoping her mother Ruby will turn up.Thanks again for the excellent job and professionalism with which you carried out the rescue.Margaret Pat and Rosie xx

I would like to thank to all who were involved in this callout for perfect handling of the situation. In this accident I broke two of my lumbar vertebra. I’m recovering well and I’m starting rehabilitation. And this is greatly thanks to Doolin Coast Guard.
