At 19.30 , Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked by MRSC , Valentia, as a report of flares seen in the direction of Ballyreen , from Doolin, had been called in.  Team members assembled and searched along the coast from Doolin to Fanore. The Aran Mór RNLI LIfeboat was out on a training excercise and carried out a search. Nothing was found and teams stood down.
