Injured cyclist near Gleninagh

Doolin Coast Guard was tasked by MRSC, Valentia to assist an injured cyclist, on the Burren Way track near Gleninagh.The Shannon Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter and the NAS were also tasked. Rescue 115 landed the helicopter in a field by the road and their paramedic went to the location on the hill where a local nurse was attending to the casualty. The casualty was assessed and taken down to the waiting ambulance for transport to hospital.
