Missing elderly man , Athenry area

Doolin Coast Guard team , along with Costelloe Bay Coast Guard team , was tasked by MRSC , Valentia , to assist Athenry Gardaí in the search for an elderly man who had gone missing from his home late on Friday evening. The team travelled to Athenry and met with Gardaí and locals who had been searching for the man . The team concentrated their search in a large area of bogland at Attymon , close to the mans home and previous home place. At 08.30 the teams stood down on hearing the good news that the man had been found safe and well.
