Missing Person

Doolin Coast Guard team was tasked at 16.56 ,  by MRSC , Valentia , to search for an 80 year old man . Family members raised the alarm when he hadn’t returned to the coach at the Cliffs of Moher that they were travelling on . Search teams assembled , the Shannon based Coast Guard Helicopter was tasked and searches commenced. Land and air searches were also carried out in an area where a team member had seen a man fitting that description earlier in the day.A short time later it was confirmed that he had been found by a member of the public . Coast Guard members went to the location and made sure he alright . He continued on his trip with the group.
