Overdue Boat
At 16.15, Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked by MRSC , Valentia to search for a small vessel. The boat was reported overdue by a member of the public, it left Ballyvaughan Pier earlier in the day. Doolin Coast Guard Unit assembled and prepared the Delta for launch while search teams also went along the coast to Ballyvaughan and to the Cliffs of Moher. The Aran Islands Lifeboat and the Shannon Coast Helicopter were also tasked. Meanwhile Inis Oirr Coast Guard team was tasked to search from the shoreline around the Island, members reported seeing a boat leave the Pier. The boat returned safely to Ballyvaughan Pier. All teams stood down.
