Reported Flare sighting

Doolin Coast Guard members were tasked by MRCC Valentia late in the evening to investigate a report from a member of the public of a flare sighting off Quilty. Members went to the area  while watching out to sea along the coastline for any lights or vessels in the water. All known boats were moored alongside the pier at Quilty and other slipways and piers along the coastline were also checked ,  members remained at Quilty Pier for some time . Team stood down at 23.30.
