Search for missing man at Kilkee

Doolin Coast Guard were called to assist in the search for a man who had fallen from his boat at the Diamond Rocks off Kilkee coast. He and another man had fallen into the water when their boat over turned. The other man was rescued from underneath the upturned hull by divers .He had been able to remain safe in an airpocket. He was airlifted to Tralee General hospital.

Doolin Coast Guard assisted Kilkee Coast Guard, Kilkee Marine Rescue, and Kilkee divers and the Kilkee Fire Brigade

Doolin Coast Guard Delta launched from Doolin and later searched at the scene , the D-Class launched at Kilkee and also searched the area.There were also shore searchers along the shore.The search was stood down at dark and will resume in the morning.
