Search on River Fergus

Doolin Coast Guard were tasked to assist Ennis Fire Brigade and the Gardaí in the search for a man who was seen entering the River Fergus in Ennis.The D-Class was launched from a slipway close to the last sighting of the man and a search of the river then carried out. There were also searchers along the banks and the Shannon based Coast Guard helicopter conducted an aerial search. The Civil Defence also had kayak searchers on the river.

All searchers were stood down at dark and search will resume in the morning.
