Doolin Team were tasked to assist with the extraction of a six year old boy from a 5 m. high Glacial Erratic in the Burren. Team was alerted by the child’s mother when the boy climbed up the boulder but was unable to climb down. Members assembled at the incident site, set up ropes etc., later the climber and child, secure in a casualty harness, were lowered down off the boulder. Members of the Kilkee Coast Guard team who were visiting the Doolin Station also assisted in the extraction.
