Just as the Doolin Coast Guard boats were assisting the dive boat with the recovery of the two fishermen they were alerted by the Kilkee Marine Rescue Jet Ski that a small boat had been swamped at Freagh Pt, with 3 persons aboard. They were wearing lifejackets , only 2 activated and all three  made it ashore . The two Doolin boats and the Aran Islands Lifeboat rushed to the scene. Land search Coast Guard members went to the scene .The three people could be accessed from shore and they were taken to Whitestrand by a Coast Guard team .One casualty was administered oxygen by the Garda Divers who were still on scene from the earlier search. The HSE Ambulance then took him to hospital. The North Clare Red Cross were also tasked by Coast Guard to assist with the casulaties ashore if needed. The boat had sunk close to rocks with a large swell running in and was vertical in the water with only the bow visible out of the water. Attempts to tow the boat away failed when the boats ropes broke under pressure. The boat was later tossed ashore upright onto rocks.
