Swimmer at Kilkee

At 01.45,Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked by MRCC , Valentia, to go to Kilkee to assist in the search for a man believed to have gone swimming and not returned. Gardaí, Kilkee Coast Guard Unit and Kilkee Marine Rescue,members of Doolin Coast Guard Unit were on scene locally and The Shannon Based Coast Guard Helicopter was also tasked.The Doolin Coast Guard Delta and D-Class Rib were taken down by road.

The man was located safe and well in the town and team was stood down.
