VOLVO OCEAN ’12

The 2012 Volvo Ocean Race is finishing its last leg in Galway this summer. The round the world race which started in Alicante in October 2011 is scheduled to depart Miami on the 20th of May enroute to Lisbon. The race then departs Lisbon to Lorient (Brittany) on the 10th of June. Finally the boats depart Lorient on the 30th June and will make land in Galway on the 3rd July.

We are hoping to plot their track on our little map across the atlantic and watch their arrival into the bay. Won’t be long now ….
