Doolin Coast Guard Unit was tasked today to investigate a report of a windsurfer in difficulty. A member of the public became concerned when he lost sight of  the windsurfer. The Delta boat was prepared for launch and on standby.Doolin Coast Guard members drove along the coast and a member of the team confirmed that they could see the windsurfer off Aill na Searrach. He didn’t appear to be in difficulty and was observed until he came ashore. The team stood down when the windsurfer returned safely to the shore.
